Hello and welcome back! Hope you are having a lovely day!
It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments and I am popping in with a bit of a Spring inspired card today. I figured that most of us are very ready for the arrival of Spring and all of the beautiful flowers that bloom in springtime. It feels like this Winter has been a long one. I think we’re all ready for Spring!
To create a Spring-like scene, I used the new Oopsie Daisies stamp and dies to create a cheery, flower filled card.
I colored the adorable bear and several flowers and stems to go with them using my OLO Markers and I cut them out once everything was colored. For each flower, I added a bit of liquid glue to the top of the stem to adhere the flower to it.
My background was created by ink blending a piece of yellow cardstock with a bit of orange and a darker shade of yellow towards the center. Ink blending on colored cardstock makes the process much quicker. I die cut the ink blended piece of cardstock using the Slim Mini Flower patch Die. A second Slim Mini Flower Patch was cut from a piece of shiny black cardstock.
I glued both of the Slim Mini Flower Patch die cuts together so that the ink blended background would appear slightly offset creating a brightly colored shadow layer.
To ground my adorable bear and flowers, I cut two different shades of green cardstock using the Slimline Land die to create some grass. I adhered the darkest grass directly to my Slim Mini Flower Patch background.
Next, I arranged my colored Daises onto the background and glued them down and then added the second layer of grass in a lighter color to make it look like the Daisies are growing up from the grass.
I added the cute little bear and two additional Daises to the front of the panel using some dimensional foam.
The entire background was added to the outer layer of the Slim Mini Flower Patch die which has a fun stitched detail around the edge. I cut that from a piece of blue cardstock.
For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment “A Little Note to Brighten Your Daisy” from the new Oopsie Daisies stamp set. I love all of the cute sentiments in this set!
I die cut my sentiment using a small, scalloped rectangle die which comes in the Pop-Up Feature Die set. I added it to the card front with a double layer of dimensional foam.
For a touch of sparkle, I added a Nuvo Opal Quartz sparkle pen to my flower petals which gives them a nice opal shimmer.
My entire panel was mounted on a mini-slimline card base made from 110lb Neenah cardstock.
That wraps up my card for today. Hopefully this will inspire you to create some fun springy cards with the new Oopsie Daisies stamp set or any of the new Feeling Groovy new release stamps from Dare 2B Artzy.
All of the products I used in today’s card will be linked below for your convenience.
Happy Friday! The Good Times Roll Stamp Set from Dare 2B Artzy is taking me back to my youth and making me feel groovy! 🙂 We spent lots of time while I was growing up at the Lind Arena Skate Center in Zanesville, Ohio! It’s a very nostalgic roller rink that was built in 1948! (I’m not quite that old…but close!) My roller skates were not quite as fancy as the one in this adorable D2BA set though!
I love all the stamp sets and papers in this new release! I began my card by stamping the images and the sentiment from the Good Times Roll Stamp Set with Dare 2B Artzy’s Totally Black Ink. The images were colored with the following Copic Marker combinations: (Y17, YR04, YR09), (YR09, R08, E19), (G24, G28, G29), (B0000, B000), and (C1, C3, C5).
The images and the sentiment were die cut with the Good Times Roll Die Set. I thought the skate would look cute on a center step card so I used the Center Step Die to create the card base and the layers. The papers used on the layers included Crazy Daisy, Peace & Love, and Good Vibes. I hope you enjoy a great weekend, and let the good times roll! Happy stamping! Melody
It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a card using an older set (Embrace) with new release papers (Feelin Groovy). When I saw those papers I thought this girl looks a little hippieish and will go well with these new papers and I needed an encouragement card.
To make this card I started with a top folding white card base and a panel of cardstock for the image. I stamped the image, colored it using OLO and Copic markers and then cut it out with the coordinating die. I stamped the word embrace, cut it out with the coordinating die. To finish the card I popped up the girl and the embrace. I stamped the journey on a strip of paper and added it towards the bottom.
